2025 Raffle Official Rules
Sponsored by St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota,
a 501(c)(3) organization located at 651, Virginia St, St Paul, Minnesota.
Ticket Price
The purchase price of a single raffle ticket is $100.00 each. A “purchase” shall not occur and be binding on until funds received for the same either by cash or check which have cleared the bank. Ticket purchases are not tax-deductible.
Each raffle ticket purchased and fully paid shall constitute an “entry” into the raffle, and the person to whom the raffle ticket is registered shall be the “Entrant”. The winning Entrant shall be the “winner” of the prize. The winner must supply his/her ID card before the prize is tendered. It is the sole responsibility of the Entrant to allocate a winning prize to other participants in case of a multiple entry registration, and the winning Entrant shall hold harmless St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota in case of conflicting claims or disputes among multiple claimants.
Quantity of Tickets
The maximum number of tickets offered for sale is 3500.
Eligibility
Purchasers of raffle tickets must be legal residents of the United States and 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase. The Entrant must supply his/her ID card to receive the winning prize. If an Entrant’s check is dishonored prior to the drawing, the entry ticket will be declared invalid, until a replacement is received plus a $30.00 bank charge for return check before the draw date. Raffle tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable; all ticket sales are final.
Taxes and Rules
The winner is responsible for any and all federal, state, and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments, upgrades, insurance, title, and like charges associated with the prize. The winner will be responsible for any or all delivery fees and/or are responsible for the retrieval of their prize. The value of your winnings is considered taxable income. Please consult your financial advisor to discuss any impact on your personal taxable income.
The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in lotteries, raffles, or similar programs are not gifts and therefore, the price of entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. Please refer to IRS Notice 1340.
Drawing
The raffle will take place on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota. If not sold out prior to the event, tickets will be available for purchase until the time of the drawing. Only the sold and paid tickets are put in the draw. The winner, if not present, will be notified within 7 business days. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide a valid, deliverable mailing address, phone, and/or email address for notification.
St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota reserves the right to change the drawing date.
Prizes
There are three prizes for this raffle.
First Prize: A brand new 2025 Tesla Model Y Car (One only)
Second Prize: A brand new iphone (one each for 2 raffle ticket entrants)
Third Prize: A brand new Sony Playstation console (one each for 3 raffle ticket entrants)
Terms and Conditions for First Prize (2025 Tesla Model Y Car)
The offer is for a new 2025 Model Y Long Range Rear Wheel Drive from an authorized Tesla branch from the State of Minnesota. The car picture shown in the ticket, flyers, and advertisements are only for illustration purposes. The actual car shape, color and features may vary. If the winner needs an upgraded model of the car, it is between the Tesla dealership and the winner. The name of the dealership will be notified to the winner at the time of providing the winning ticket and ID card to St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota.
St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota only offers a brand new model of the 2025 Model Y Long Range Rear Wheel Drive. All federal, state, and local income, sales, and/or excise taxes, fees, assessments, upgrades, insurance, title, and like charges associated with the prize, are the responsibility of the holder of the winning ticket.
The winner must complete a W-9 form before receiving the prize. If fewer than 400 tickets are sold by October 4th, 2025, St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota reserves the right to pay one fourth of the collected ticket money in lieu of the car to the first prize winner.
Terms and Conditions for Second Prize (Apple iPhone)
The winner will be given a brand new base model of the latest Apple iphone. St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota will bear only the cost of the phone and all applicable additional taxes will be the responsibility of the winner. The phone shown in the ticket, flyers, and advertisements are only for illustration purposes. The actual phone shape, color and features may vary. Terms and Conditions for Third Prize (Sony Playstation)
The winner will be given a brand new base PlayStation console along with a Wireless Controller. St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota will bear only the cost of the console and all applicable additional taxes will be the responsibility of the winner. The playstation shown in the ticket, flyers, and advertisements are only for illustration purposes. The actual shape, color and features may vary. Notification of Winners
Winner(s) need not be present to win. Winner(s) will be notified by phone, email, and/or in writing via Registered Mail of the requisite procedure to claim the prize according to what type of contact information was provided by the winner(s) when they purchased the ticket. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide a valid, deliverable mailing address, phone, and/or email address for notification.
The winner(s) name will be posted at www.stalphonsamn.org within 5 calendar days of the drawing. The winning entrant is required to contact St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota within fourteen (14) calendar days from notification; however, winner(s) may have up to thirty (30) calendar days of the draw date to finalize the process (including payment of taxes, withholding, etc). The winning entrant’s name and location by city or town and photo may be printed in selected media. If the selected winning entrant is unable to be contacted or located after a period of one (1) month from the draw date, the prize will be donated to St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota. Three (3) attempts will be made to contact the winning entrant via Registered Mail at the address provided by the entry purchaser and via email and phone as provided.
Void Where Prohibited or Restricted by Law
This raffle is conducted in accordance with gaming laws enacted and enforced by City, State, and IRS and void in areas prohibited or restricted by law. St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota is not responsible for lost or stolen entries. Raffle entries will be disqualified at the sole discretion of St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota if attempts are made to disrupt the Raffle or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules. If the above occurs, St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota reserves the right to remedy any such action, disruptions, or circumvention in a manner determined solely by St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota that is fair and equitable to Raffle participants.
St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota, its members, officers, directors, agents and representatives, and their parent organizations, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:
- late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries;
- failed, returned, or misdirected notification based on inaccurate information provided by the winner;
- telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties resulting from participation in this Raffle of otherwise;
- errors in transmission;
- any condition caused by events beyond the control of St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota that may cause the Raffle to be disrupted or corrupted;
- any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Raffle; or
- any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Raffle.
Waiver and Limitations of Liability
Entrants release St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota and its respective board, committee members, officers, volunteers, employees, and representative agents from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession of the prize. Any liability of St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota shall be limited to the ticket price paid. In the case of a dispute, St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota's decision shall be final.
Entrant agrees to allow St. Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Minnesota to use his/her name and image without any compensation for any promotional activity related to this or any future raffle. Any and all addresses and contact information of the purchaser will not be released to the public.
